What do you think of breast milk?
According to UNICEF, multiple research studies concluded that maternal Lactoferrin; an anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, immune-boosting protein found in breast milk, is associated with decreased rates of late-onset sepsis, necrotising enterocolitis as well as death within the first 8 weeks of life in low/ extreme low birth weight infants (Theresa JO.,et al. 2020).
Imagine at 30 weeks being rushed to the hospital for an emergency C-section….something went wrong….your little one is born, laid down in an incubator and suddenly a nurse asks you for breastmilk….you squeeze and squeeze, nothing….
You need to choose, formula for now or donor human milk?
Do you know the benefits of breast milk for your little one?
Do you know that, yes, it might be another mom’s milk, but her liquid love will greatly benefit your little one until you are able to breastfeed/express?
Breast milk is a blessing….it’s medicine, strengthening, it’s protection against viruses, lowers the risk of infections, perfect for an immature gut and SO much more!
No matter where it comes from…Breast is always best, whether from the biological mom or from a donor!
